DescriptionA thin plate floating above a stone plinth. Circular openings turn the sun into a clock of drifting discs of light.
The site. An open lawn in a park, without trees or shade. The brief: a meeting place that offers shelter without enclosing.
The idea. The roof is the only gesture — a 30 cm plate on columns as thin as stems. Beneath it there is only shade, water and light.
The light. During the day the circles of light crawl slowly over the floor and the water. The pavilion tells the time without a clock.
