DescriptionA long gallery of repeating arches — a space where the rhythm of light and shadow is itself the exhibition.
The site. A long, narrow volume between two old buildings. The problem — its length — became the idea.
The idea. A series of identical arches divides the space into rooms without interrupting it. The eye passes through them all at once.
The light. Light from above draws the arches on the floor. As the day passes, the gallery changes even when the exhibition stays still.
